In the latest episode, Director of Operations & Maintenance Doug Shoop talks about “Water 101,” an insider’s look at the infrastructure, processes and people that deliver drinking water and wastewater service to the utility’s customers in Prince William County.

WOODBRIDGE, VA, August 25, 2026 — Prince William Water has once again received national recognition for excellence in wastewater treatment and regulatory compliance. The H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility (AWRF) has received the Platinum 17 Peak Performance Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies for 17 consecutive years of 100% permit compliance with federal and state wastewater treatment standards. 

WOODBRIDGE, VA, August 18, 2026 — Prince William Water and its community partners within Prince William County Government recently received a Certificate of Achievement from the U.S. Water Alliance’s Water Equity Network for an innovative new Pre-Apprenticeship Program that advances workforce development in Prince William County.

WOODBRIDGE, Va., July 14, 2026 — Prince William Water’s Water Academy Class of 2026 graduated from the educational program earlier this month. Twenty-five participants completed the program, getting an in-depth look into the local water and wastewater utility that serves over 380,000 people in Prince William County.

(June 12, 2026) — Prince William Water recently recognized 28 elementary, middle and high school students from Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park for their exceptional water- and wastewater-related projects at the 2026 Prince William-Manassas Regional Science & Engineering Fair and Student Environmental Action Showcase (SEAS).
