WOODBRIDGE, Va., July 14, 2026 — Prince William Water’s Water Academy Class of 2026 graduated from the educational program earlier this month. Twenty-five participants completed the program, getting an in-depth look into the local water and wastewater utility that serves over 380,000 people in Prince William County.

“The industry knowledge and passion of the speakers was incredible. I feel like our water is in good hands,” shared class member Elias Swadener.

From a tour of the H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility and Dr. Evelyn Mahieu Environmental Laboratory to hands-on demonstrations and activities, the Water Academy class came away with a deeper water knowledge to bring into their daily lives and a better understanding of how they can be environmental ambassadors.
