Project Description

The existing Heritage Hunt Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) will be replaced to increase pumping capacity from 3.6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 7.81 MGD. The new, higher-capacity SPS will be capable of serving the anticipated build-out of residential and commercial developments in and around the Heritage Hunt community. A new 24-inch Force Main will be constructed from the SPS to a location at the corner of Heathcote Boulevard and Route 29.

Current Project Activities

The design, permitting, and advertisement for bids occurred from July 2020 through January 2022. The bid opening for the construction contract was on February 15, 2022. The Board of Directors approved the construction contract award on April 14, 2022. Construction began in August 2022; the estimated final completion is December 2024.

    Construction of the new pumping station is approximately 95% complete.

    Installation of process and yard piping & HVAC equipment is 95% complete and installation of mechanical and electrical items for the SPS building is in progress.

    Installation of Force Main is complete throughout the project. The contractor is currently working on testing the Force Main and its components.

    Contractor repaving of impacted areas of Heritage Hunt Drive with temporary asphalt is complete. The Heritage Hunt HOA will repave the full width of Heritage Hunt Drive, Fieldstone Way, and Alderwood Way after the project is complete.
