How can I donate to the Temporary Assistance Program (TAP)?

| FAQ

Both Prince William Water customers and non-customers may donate to TAP:

  • One-time donation: Customers and non-customers may make a one-time TAP donation by filling out the One-Time TAP Donation Form. Customers may add the one-time donation to their monthly bill by providing their account number on the form, while non-customers will need to send a check to Prince William Water.
  • Recurring monthly donation: Prince William Water customers may make recurring monthly donations. You may "round up" your monthly bill to the nearest dollar or add a recurring donation of $5, $10, $15, or $20 to your monthly bill. An account number is required for recurring monthly donations. Please fill out the Recurring TAP Donation Form to make a recurring donation.

You may also donate by contacting our Customer Service Department by calling (703) 335-7950 or emailing CustomerService@pwwater.org.

Contributions in any amount are appreciated and will provide critical support to TAP. Prince William Water absorbs all administrative costs of the program, so donors can be assured that 100% of their contributions are going towards helping their neighbors in need.

All donations made to TAP are tax-deductible, in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations. Donors should consult a tax advisor with questions regarding their allowable deductions. Customers who elect to make recurring contributions to TAP can track their year-to-date donation amounts on their monthly bills and may opt out of the program at any time.
