(WOODBRIDGE, VA – July 21, 2025) Prince William Water expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Gainesville District Supervisor Bob Weir and to the Prince William County community following Mr. Weir’s death on July 20, 2025. 

“I had the privilege of being appointed to the Prince William Water Board of Directors by Supervisor Weir,” said Paul Colangelo, Jr., who is the Gainesville District representative and Chair of the Prince William Water Board. “He was a devoted public servant who genuinely supported his constituents. His passing is a loss to the Gainesville District and to Prince William County. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. May they find comfort and strength in the love and support of those around them.”

“Mr. Weir was dedicated to public service and the public good,” added Prince William Water General Manager and CEO Calvin D. Farr, Jr., P.E. “His service on the Board of County Supervisors, his prior role on the Haymarket Town Council and his advocacy for the residents of the Gainesville District all highlighted his passion and commitment to our community. Prince William Water and its customers benefited from Mr. Weir’s public service.”
