Calvin Farr Appointed Chair of the US Water Alliance Board of Directors

(WOODBRIDGE, VA – July 24, 2025) Prince William Water General Manager and CEO Calvin D. Farr, Jr., P.E., has been chosen to serve as Chair of the US Water Alliance Board of Directors. This national organization advances policies and programs to build a sustainable water future for all. 

Farr has led Prince William Water since 2021. The utility provides drinking water and water reclamation services for more than 380,000 people in Prince William County. Farr has guided the organization through significant transformations, helping to position it as a national model for performance excellence and industry innovation.

Under Farr’s leadership, Prince William Water has:

• Refreshed its mission and vision through development of the 2023–2028 Strategic Plan.
• Rebranded the organization to reflect the value of water, service and community, and to complement a dynamic outreach program that engages youth and the community.
• Upgraded technology to improve the customer’s experience and accessibility to information. 
• Fostered a workplace that values diverse voices, inclusion, belonging and equity. 
• Launched a supplier diversity program to expand connections with small, local, minority, women and veteran-owned businesses in the region.
• Protected public health and the environment through a robust capital improvement program and proactive maintenance practices, supported by affordable rates and a AAA credit rating.
