WOODBRIDGE, VA – May 7, 2025 – Prince William Water is accepting applications for its summer 2025 Water Academy. This three-session educational program is designed for adults and high school seniors who live, work or study in Prince William County. 

The Water Academy offers an immersive educational experience that includes a look at the science and technology behind water and wastewater treatment, the opportunity to learn from Prince William Water’s leadership team and a behind-the-scenes tour of the H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility. The program is filled with hands-on learning activities, presentations about water quality, water conservation, source water protection, tips for Prince William Water customers and more.

Sessions are scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: 

  • Wednesday, June 18, at H.L. Mooney AWRF, Woodbridge, VA.
  • Wednesday, June 25, at the Raymond Spittle Building, Woodbridge, VA
  • Wednesday, July 2, at the Raymond Spittle Building, Woodbridge, VA.

Water Academy alumni include teachers, business owners, homeowners’ association leaders, elected officials, retirees and others who are interested in learning more about their water utility and their role as environmental ambassadors. Teachers in Prince William County Schools are eligible to receive Continuing Education Credits for completing the program.
